[943] For whomever the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) ceases, has the truth of the path (maggasacca) ceased for him?
For those who have not realized [the truths] (anabhisametāvī), when they are passing away and at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the mind (citta) in the course of existence (pavatti): the truth of suffering ceases for them, but the truth of the path has not ceased for them. For those who have realized [the truths] (abhisametāvī), when they are passing away and at the moment of the dissolution of the mind in the course of existence: both the truth of suffering ceases for them and the truth of the path has ceased.
Or else, for whomever the truth of the path has ceased, does the truth of suffering cease for him?
For those who have realized [the truths], when they are being reborn, at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the mind in the course of existence, and, in the immaterial realm (arūpa), at the moment of the dissolution of the path and of the fruition (phala): the truth of the path has ceased for them, but the truth of suffering does not cease for them. For those who have realized [the truths], when they are passing away and at the moment of the dissolution of the mind in the course of existence: both the truth of the path has ceased for them and the truth of suffering ceases.
