[948] For whomever, wherever, the truth of origin (samudayasacca) ceases, has the truth of the path (maggasacca) ceased for that one there?
For those who have not attained realization (anabhisametāvī), at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of craving (taṇhā), the truth of origin ceases for them there, but the truth of the path has not ceased for them there. For those who have attained realization (abhisametāvī), at the moment of the dissolution of craving, for them there both the truth of origin ceases and the truth of the path has ceased.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the truth of the path has ceased, does the truth of origin cease for that one there?
For those who have attained realization, at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of craving, or while a mind dissociated from craving (taṇhāvippayuttacitta) is occurring, the truth of the path has ceased for them there, but the truth of origin does not cease for them there. For those who have attained realization, at the moment of the dissolution of craving, for them there both the truth of the path has ceased and the truth of origin ceases.
