[1000] For whomever, wherever, the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) will not arise, will the joy faculty (somanassindriya) not arise for that one there?
For form-sphere (rūpāvacara) beings, and for those women who, in that very same state, having passed through some number of existences and having been reborn with joy, will attain final Nibbāna — for them, there, the masculinity faculty will not arise; but it is not the case that, for them, there, the joy faculty will not arise. For final-existence (pacchimabhavika) beings in five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for formless (arūpa) beings, and for those women who, in that very same state, having passed through some number of existences and having been reborn with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna — for them, there, both the masculinity faculty will not arise and the joy faculty will not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty will not arise, will the masculinity faculty not arise for that one there?
For those men who, in that very same state, having passed through some number of existences and having been reborn with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna — for them, there, the joy faculty will not arise; but it is not the case that, for them, there, the masculinity faculty will not arise. For final-existence beings in five-constituent existence, for non-percipient beings, for formless beings, and for those women who, in that very same state, having passed through some number of existences and having been reborn with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna — for them, there, both the joy faculty will not arise and the masculinity faculty will not arise.
