Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1008

[1008] For whomever, wherever, the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) will not arise — for that one, there, will the faith faculty (saddhindriya) not arise? Those immediately after whose mind (citta) the final mind (pacchimacitta) associated with joy (somanassa) will arise — for them, there, the equanimity faculty will not arise; but it is not the case that for them, there, the faith faculty will not arise. For those endowed with the final mind and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them, there, both the equanimity faculty will not arise and the faith faculty will not arise. Or alternatively, for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty will not arise — for that one, there, will the equanimity faculty not arise? Yes (āmantā).
