Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1330

[1330] For whomever, wherever, the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) has never arisen, will the faith faculty (saddhindriya) not arise for that one there? For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the equanimity faculty has never arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the faith faculty will not arise for them there. For the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), the equanimity faculty has never arisen for them there, and the faith faculty will not arise. Or else, for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty will not arise, has the equanimity faculty never arisen for that one there? For those endowed with the final mind (pacchimacitta), the faith faculty will not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty has never arisen for them there. For the non-percipient beings, the faith faculty will not arise for them there, and the equanimity faculty has never arisen.
