[105] "For whomever unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) do not arise, do indeterminate phenomena (abyākatā dhammā) not arise for that one?"
For all those who are being reborn (upapajjantā), and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of a mind (citta) dissociated from the unwholesome — for them unwholesome phenomena do not arise, yet it is not the case that indeterminate phenomena do not arise for them. For all those who are passing away (cavantā), in the course of existence at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the mind, and, in the immaterial (arūpa), at the moment of arising of wholesome (kusala) phenomena — for them unwholesome phenomena do not arise and indeterminate phenomena do not arise.
"Or alternatively, for whomever indeterminate phenomena do not arise, do unwholesome phenomena not arise for that one?"
In the immaterial, at the moment of arising of unwholesome phenomena — for them indeterminate phenomena do not arise, yet it is not the case that unwholesome phenomena do not arise for them. For all those who are passing away, in the course of existence at the moment of dissolution of the mind, and, in the immaterial, at the moment of arising of wholesome phenomena — for them indeterminate phenomena do not arise and unwholesome phenomena do not arise.
