[170] For whomever wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) do not arise, will indeterminate phenomena (abyākatā dhammā) not arise for that one?
For all (beings) at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta), at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from the wholesome (kusalavippayutta-citta), for those who have attained cessation (nirodha-samāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them wholesome phenomena do not arise, yet it is not the case that indeterminate phenomena will not arise for them. For those endowed with the final mind (pacchima-citta-samaṅgī): for them wholesome phenomena do not arise, and indeterminate phenomena will not arise.
Or rather, for whomever indeterminate phenomena will not arise, do wholesome phenomena not arise for that one?
