[104] For whom wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) do not arise, do indeterminate phenomena (abyākatā dhammā) not arise for him?
For all who are being reborn (upapajjantā), and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of a mind (citta) dissociated (vippayutta) from the wholesome: for these, wholesome phenomena do not arise, but it is not the case that indeterminate phenomena do not arise for them. For all who are passing away (cavantā), and, in the course of existence, at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind, and, in the immaterial [plane] (arūpa), at the moment of arising of unwholesome [phenomena] (akusalā): for these, wholesome phenomena do not arise and indeterminate phenomena do not arise.
Or rather, for whom indeterminate phenomena do not arise, do wholesome phenomena not arise for him?
In the immaterial [plane], at the moment of arising of wholesome [phenomena]: for these, indeterminate phenomena do not arise, but it is not the case that wholesome phenomena do not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and, in the course of existence, at the moment of dissolution of mind, and, in the immaterial [plane], at the moment of arising of unwholesome [phenomena]: for these, indeterminate phenomena do not arise and wholesome phenomena do not arise.
