Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1117

[1117] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one there? For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), the eye faculty arises for them there, but the life faculty will not arise for them there. For the others with eyes (sacakkhuka) who are being reborn, for them there both the eye faculty arises and the life faculty will arise. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the life faculty will arise, does the eye faculty arise for that one there? For all who are passing away and for those without eyes (acakkhuka) who are being reborn, the life faculty will arise for them there, but the eye faculty does not arise for them there. For those with eyes who are being reborn, for them there both the life faculty will arise and the eye faculty arises.
