Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1116

[1116] For whomever, wherever, the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, will the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arise for that one there? For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those being reborn into the form sphere (rūpāvacara), and for those women who, in that very same state, will pass through some number of existences and then attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāna), as they are being reborn — for these the eye-faculty arises there, but the masculinity faculty will not arise for them there. For the others possessed of eyes (sacakkhuka) who are being reborn into the sense sphere, the eye-faculty arises for them there and the masculinity faculty will arise. Or else, for whomever, wherever, the masculinity faculty will arise, does the eye-faculty arise for that one there? For those passing away from the sense sphere and for those without eyes (acakkhuka) who are being reborn into the sense sphere, the masculinity faculty will arise for them there, but the eye-faculty does not arise for them there. For those possessed of eyes who are being reborn into the sense sphere, the masculinity faculty will arise for them there and the eye-faculty arises.
