Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1187

[1187] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, will the femininity faculty (itthindriya) not arise for that one there? For those passing away from the sense sphere (kāmāvacara) and for eyeless beings being reborn into the sense sphere — for them, there, the eye faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the femininity faculty will not arise for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense sphere, for those passing away from the form sphere (rūpāvacara), for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for formless beings (arūpa), and for those males who, in that same state, will pass through some number of existences and attain final Nibbāna — for these while they are passing away: for them, there, the eye faculty does not arise and the femininity faculty will not arise. Or: for whomever, wherever, the femininity faculty will not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for that one there? For beings in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) being reborn into the sense sphere, for those being reborn into the form sphere, and for those males who, in that same state, will pass through some number of existences and attain final Nibbāna — for these while they are being reborn: for them, there, the femininity faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the eye faculty does not arise for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense sphere, for those passing away from the form sphere, for non-percipient beings, for formless beings, and for those males who, in that same state, will pass through some number of existences and attain final Nibbāna — for these while they are passing away: for them, there, the femininity faculty will not arise and the eye faculty does not arise.
