[1286] For whomever, wherever, the life faculty (jīvitindriya) has arisen, will the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arise for that one there?
For those endowed with the final mind (pacchimacitta) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the life faculty has arisen for them there, but the faith faculty will not arise for them there. For the others — four-constituent beings (catuvokāra) and five-constituent beings (pañcavokāra) — the life faculty has arisen for them there, and the faith faculty will arise.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty will arise, has the life faculty arisen for that one there?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa), the faith faculty will arise for them there, but the life faculty has not arisen for them there. For the others — four-constituent beings and five-constituent beings — the faith faculty will arise for them there, and the life faculty has arisen.
