[1407] Whoever does not fully understand the eye faculty (cakkhundriya), has that person not developed the faculty of perfect knowledge (aññindriya)?
The Arahant does not fully understand the eye faculty, but it is not that he has not developed the faculty of perfect knowledge. Seven persons do not fully understand the eye faculty and have not developed the faculty of perfect knowledge.
Or whoever has not developed the faculty of perfect knowledge, does that person not fully understand the eye faculty?
One endowed with the highest path (aggamaggasamaṅgī) has not developed the faculty of perfect knowledge, but it is not that he does not fully understand the eye faculty. Seven persons have not developed the faculty of perfect knowledge and do not fully understand the eye faculty.
