[187] For whomever, wherever, wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) did not arise, will unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) not arise for that one there?
For those of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) while the second mind (citta) is occurring — for them there, wholesome phenomena did not arise; but it is not the case that unwholesome phenomena will not arise for them there. For the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for them there, wholesome phenomena did not arise and unwholesome phenomena will not arise.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, unwholesome phenomena will not arise, did wholesome phenomena not arise for that one there?
For those endowed with the supreme path (aggamagga), for Arahants, and for those who will obtain the supreme path in immediate succession to whichever mind — for them there, unwholesome phenomena will not arise; but it is not the case that wholesome phenomena did not arise for them there. For the non-percipient beings — for them there, unwholesome phenomena will not arise and wholesome phenomena did not arise.
