[159] For whomever, wherever, wholesome phenomena (dhammā) do not arise, have unwholesome phenomena never arisen for that one there?
For all [beings] at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta), [and] at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from the wholesome — for them there wholesome phenomena do not arise, but it is not the case that unwholesome phenomena have never arisen for them there. For those of the pure abodes (Suddhāvāsa) while the second mind is occurring, [and] for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them there wholesome phenomena do not arise, and unwholesome phenomena have never arisen.
Or rather: for whomever, wherever, unwholesome phenomena have never arisen, do wholesome phenomena not arise for that one there?
