[240] For whomever wholesome phenomena (dhammā) cease, have unwholesome phenomena ceased for him?
Yes.
Or rather, for whomever unwholesome phenomena have ceased, do wholesome phenomena cease for him?
For all [beings] at the moment of the arising of mind (citta), [and] at the moment of the dissolution of a mind dissociated from the wholesome (kusalavippayutta-citta), for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpannā), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for these, unwholesome phenomena have ceased, but wholesome phenomena do not cease for them. At the moment of the dissolution of wholesome [states], for these, unwholesome phenomena have ceased and wholesome phenomena cease.
