[336] For whomever wholesome phenomena (dhammā) arise, have unwholesome phenomena ceased for that one?
Yes.
Or rather, for whomever unwholesome phenomena have ceased, do wholesome phenomena arise for that one?
For all beings at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta), at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from the wholesome, for those who have attained cessation, and for non-percipient beings — unwholesome phenomena have ceased for these, but wholesome phenomena do not arise for them. At the moment of the arising of the wholesome, unwholesome phenomena have ceased for these, and wholesome phenomena arise.
