[337] For whomever wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) arise, have indeterminate phenomena (abyākatā dhammā) ceased for that one?
Yes.
Or, for whomever indeterminate phenomena have ceased, do wholesome phenomena arise for that one?
For all [beings] at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind (citta), [and] at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of mind dissociated from the wholesome, for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for these, indeterminate phenomena have ceased, but wholesome phenomena do not arise for them. At the moment of arising of wholesome [phenomena], for these, both indeterminate phenomena have ceased and wholesome phenomena arise.
