[338] For whomever unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) arise, did indeterminate phenomena (abyākatā dhammā) cease for that one?
Yes (āmantā).
Or rather, for whomever indeterminate phenomena ceased, do unwholesome phenomena arise for that one?
For all [beings] at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta) [and] at the moment of the arising of a mind dissociated from the unwholesome, for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for them indeterminate phenomena ceased, but unwholesome phenomena do not arise for them. At the moment of the arising of unwholesome [phenomena], for them both indeterminate phenomena ceased and unwholesome phenomena arise.
