[481] Is what is not energy (vīriya) not a faculty (indriya)? Setting aside energy, the remaining faculties are not energy but are faculties; setting aside energy and the faculties, the rest are neither energy nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the eye faculty (cakkhundriya)? Yes. … Is what is not energy not a faculty? Setting aside energy, the remaining faculties are not energy but are faculties; setting aside energy and the faculties, the rest are neither energy nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the perfect-knower faculty (aññātāvindriya)? Yes.
