[517] For whomever the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arises, does the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) arise for that one?
For males dissociated from knowledge (ñāṇa) who are being reborn (upapajjantā), the masculinity faculty arises for them, but the wisdom faculty does not arise for them. For males associated with knowledge who are being reborn, for them both the masculinity faculty arises and the wisdom faculty arises.
Or, for whomever the wisdom faculty arises, does the masculinity faculty arise for that one?
For non-males associated with knowledge who are being reborn, the wisdom faculty arises for them, but the masculinity faculty does not arise for them. For males associated with knowledge who are being reborn, for them both the wisdom faculty arises and the masculinity faculty arises.
