[587] For whomever, wherever, the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arises, does the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) arise for that one there?
For males (purisa) dissociated from knowledge (ñāṇa) who are being reborn, the masculinity faculty arises for them there, but the wisdom faculty does not arise for them there. For males associated with knowledge who are being reborn, for them there both the masculinity faculty arises and the wisdom faculty arises.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the wisdom faculty arises, does the masculinity faculty arise for that one there?
For non-males associated with knowledge who are being reborn, the wisdom faculty arises for them there, but the masculinity faculty does not arise for them there. For males associated with knowledge who are being reborn, for them there both the wisdom faculty arises and the masculinity faculty arises.
