Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 586

[586] For whomever, wherever, the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arises, does the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arise for that one there? For males without roots (ahetuka) who are being reborn, the masculinity faculty arises for them there, but the faith faculty does not arise for them there. For males with roots (sahetuka) who are being reborn, for them there both the masculinity faculty arises and the faith faculty arises. Or, for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty arises, does the masculinity faculty arise for that one there? For non-males with roots who are being reborn, the faith faculty arises for them there, but the masculinity faculty does not arise for them there. For males with roots who are being reborn, for them there both the faith faculty arises and the masculinity faculty arises.
