[611] For whomever the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the faith faculty (saddhindriya) not arise for him?
For those without eye (acakkhuka), with roots (sahetuka), who are being reborn: for them the eye faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that for them the faith faculty does not arise. For all who are passing away, and for those without eye and without roots (ahetuka) who are being reborn: for them the eye faculty does not arise and the faith faculty does not arise.
Or again, for whomever the faith faculty does not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for him?
For those without roots, with eye (sacakkhuka), who are being reborn: for them the faith faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that for them the eye faculty does not arise. For all who are passing away, and for those without roots and without eye who are being reborn: for them the faith faculty does not arise and the eye faculty does not arise.
