[612] "For whomever the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) not arise for that one?"
For those without eyes, associated with knowledge (ñāṇa), who are being reborn, the eye faculty does not arise, yet it is not the case that the wisdom faculty does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes, dissociated from knowledge, who are being reborn, the eye faculty does not arise and the wisdom faculty does not arise for them.
"Or rather, for whomever the wisdom faculty does not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for that one?"
For those dissociated from knowledge, with eyes, who are being reborn, the wisdom faculty does not arise, yet it is not the case that the eye faculty does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for those dissociated from knowledge, without eyes, who are being reborn, the wisdom faculty does not arise and the eye faculty does not arise for them.
