[682] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) not arise for that one there?
For those without eyes, associated with knowledge (ñāṇa), who are being reborn: for them, there, the eye faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the wisdom faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes, dissociated from knowledge, who are being reborn: for them, there, the eye faculty does not arise, and the wisdom faculty also does not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the wisdom faculty does not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for that one there?
For those dissociated from knowledge, possessing eyes, who are being reborn: for them, there, the wisdom faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the eye faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for those dissociated from knowledge, without eyes, who are being reborn: for them, there, the wisdom faculty does not arise, and the eye faculty also does not arise.
