[681] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the faith faculty (saddhindriya) not arise for that one there?
For those without eyes and with root-cause (sahetuka) who are being reborn: for them, there, the eye faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that for them, there, the faith faculty does not arise. For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes and without root-cause (ahetuka) who are being reborn: for them, there, the eye faculty does not arise and the faith faculty does not arise.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty does not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for that one there?
For those without root-cause and with eyes who are being reborn: for them, there, the faith faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that for them, there, the eye faculty does not arise. For all who are passing away, and for those without root-cause and without eyes who are being reborn: for them, there, the faith faculty does not arise and the eye faculty does not arise.
