Or else, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty does not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for that one there?
For those who are being reborn without joy (somanassa) but possessed of eyes, the joy faculty does not arise for them there, yet it is not the case that the eye faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for those who are being reborn without joy and without eyes, for them there both the joy faculty does not arise and the eye faculty does not arise.
