Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 775

[775] For whomever, wherever, the joy faculty (somanassindriya) has arisen, has the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) arisen for that one there? Yes (āmantā). Or, for whomever, wherever, the equanimity faculty has arisen, has the joy faculty arisen for that one there? For those of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa), while the second mind (citta) is occurring, the equanimity faculty has arisen for them there, but the joy faculty has not arisen for them there. For the others — those with four constituents (catuvokāra) and those with five constituents (pañcavokāra) — for them there both the equanimity faculty has arisen and the joy faculty has arisen.
