Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 828

[828] For whomever, wherever, the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) has never arisen, has the joy faculty (somanassindriya) never arisen for that one there? For those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the masculinity faculty has never arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the joy faculty has never arisen for them there. For those of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa), for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), and for the formless ones (arūpa), both the masculinity faculty has never arisen for them there and the joy faculty has never arisen. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty has never arisen, has the masculinity faculty never arisen for that one there? Yes.
