[952] For whom the joy faculty (somanassindriya) will not arise, will the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) not arise for him?
For those immediately after whose mind (citta) the final mind (pacchimacitta) associated with equanimity will arise, the joy faculty will not arise; but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty will not arise for them. For those endowed with the final mind, both the joy faculty will not arise and the equanimity faculty will not arise.
Or rather, for whom the equanimity faculty will not arise, will the joy faculty not arise for him?
