[953] For whom the joy faculty (somanassindriya) will not arise, will the faith faculty (saddhindriya) … the wisdom faculty (paññindriya), the mind faculty (manindriya) not arise for him?
For those, immediately after whose mind (citta) the final mind associated with equanimity (upekkhāsampayutta-pacchimacitta) will arise, the joy faculty will not arise; but it is not the case that the mind faculty will not arise for them. For those endowed with the final mind (pacchimacittasamaṅgī), both the joy faculty will not arise and the mind faculty will not arise.
Or else, for whom the mind faculty will not arise, will the joy faculty not arise for him?
Yes (āmantā).
