[1096] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) associated with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā), there arises a phenomenon associated with painful feeling, not by kamma condition (na-kammapaccayā): dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) associated with painful feeling, [there arises] volition (cetanā) associated with painful feeling.
