[1146] A phenomenon (dhamma) associated (sampayutta) with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā) is a condition for a phenomenon associated with painful feeling by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya). Taking as object hatred (dosa), hatred arises, delusion (moha) arises. Taking as object delusion associated with painful feeling, delusion arises, hatred arises. Taking as object body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa) accompanied by pain, hatred arises, delusion arises. Taking as object the aggregates (khandhā) associated with painful feeling, aggregates associated with painful feeling arise.
