[1174] A phenomenon (dhamma) associated with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā) is a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling (adukkhamasukhā vedanā).
Proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: In dependence on hatred (dosa), one gives a gift with a mind (citta) associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling. (Abridged.) One commits the slaughter of a market town.
In dependence on delusion (moha) … on body-consciousness (kāya-viññāṇa) accompanied by pain, one gives a gift with a mind associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling. (Abridged.) One commits the slaughter of a market town.
