[1418] Dependent on a phenomenon that is clung-to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya dhamma), a phenomenon that is clung-to and subject to clinging arises, by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on one clung-to and subject-to-clinging aggregate, three aggregates [arise]; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates; at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), dependent on one clung-to and subject-to-clinging aggregate, three aggregates and kamma-born materiality (kaṭattā-rūpa); dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates and kamma-born materiality; dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu); dependent on the base, the aggregates; dependent on one clung-to and subject-to-clinging primary element (mahābhūta), three primary elements; dependent on two primary elements, two primary elements; dependent on the primary elements, kamma-born materiality that is derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa).
