[1422] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is clung to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya) and a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya), a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): Dependent on aggregates (khandhā) that are clung to and subject to clinging and on the primary elements (mahābhūta), mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arises.
