[1712] An undefiled phenomenon (dhamma) that is liable to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika) is a condition for an undefiled phenomenon that is not liable to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-asaṅkilesika), by repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya). Change-of-lineage (gotrabhu) is a condition for the path, and cleansing (vodāna) is a condition for the path, by repetition condition.
