[1687] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is undefiled and not subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-asaṅkilesika) is a condition for a phenomenon that is undefiled but subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika) by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati), conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object-predominance: the noble ones (ariyā), having emerged from the path, review the path, esteeming it; they review the fruition (phala), esteeming it; they review Nibbāna, esteeming it. Nibbāna is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū) and for cleansing (vodāna) by predominance condition.
Conascence-predominance: predominance that is undefiled and not subject to defilement is a condition for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by predominance condition.
