[1269] A neither-trainee-nor-adept phenomenon (nevasekkhanāsekkho dhammo) is a condition for a neither-trainee-nor-adept phenomenon by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta) and base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta).
Object-prenascence: One sees with insight the eye as impermanent …; one relishes it, delights in it; with that as object, lust (rāga) arises, grief (domanassa) … The ear … the base (vatthu) … one sees with insight as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as not-self …; grief arises. With the divine eye, a form …; with the divine ear element (sotadhātu), a sound … The form base (rūpāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), the tangible-object base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) for body-consciousness, by prenascence condition.
Base-prenascence: The eye base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for eye-consciousness, the body base (kāyāyatana) for body-consciousness; the base is a condition for the neither-trainee-nor-adept aggregates (khandhā) by prenascence condition.
