[128] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception (vitakka) and without discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought.
Roots (hetu) that are without thought-conception and without discursive thought are a condition, by root condition, for the associated aggregates (khandha) and for forms (rūpa) originated by mind (citta).
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), roots that are without thought-conception and without discursive thought are a condition, by root condition, for the associated aggregates and for forms born of kamma performed (kaṭattā).
