[161] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta), is a condition, by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya), for a phenomenon accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and for a phenomenon without thought-conception, with discursive thought only.
Object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati): Having emerged from a jhāna without thought-conception, with discursive thought only, from the path (magga) … from the fruition (phala) … one reviews the fruition, esteeming it; having esteemed that, aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought, and thought-conception (vitakka), arise. Having esteemed the aggregates without thought-conception, with discursive thought only, and thought-conception, one relishes and delights in them; having esteemed that, aggregates accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought, and thought-conception, arise.
