[1899] An unarisen phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for an arisen phenomenon by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: aspiring to unarisen excellence of appearance (vaṇṇa-sampadā), one gives a gift (dāna), undertakes virtue (sīla), performs the uposatha observance (uposatha-kamma); unarisen excellence of sound (sadda-sampadā) … excellence of odor (gandha-sampadā), excellence of taste (rasa-sampadā), excellence of touch (phoṭṭhabba-sampadā) … aspiring to unarisen aggregates (khandhā), a gift … virtue … the uposatha observance … Unarisen excellence of appearance … unarisen aggregates are a condition for arisen faith (saddhā), for wisdom (paññā), for bodily pleasure, for bodily pain, for the path (magga), for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti), by decisive-support condition.
