[1988] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a present object (ārammaṇa) is a condition for a phenomenon with a future object by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya).
Object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati): Having esteemed the future divine eye (dibbacakkhu), one reviews it; having esteemed the divine ear element (dibbasotadhātu) … ; having esteemed the future knowledge of supernormal powers (iddhividhañāṇa) that has a present object, having esteemed the future aggregates (khandhā) that have a present object, one relishes and delights in them; having esteemed that, lust (rāga) with a future object arises, view (diṭṭhi) arises.
