[2185] Dependent on an invisible-impinging (anidassana-sappaṭigha) phenomenon and an invisible-non-impinging (anidassana-appaṭigha) phenomenon, a visible-impinging (sanidassana-sappaṭigha) phenomenon arises, by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya): Dependent on the invisible-non-impinging aggregates (khandha) and the great elements (mahābhūta), visible-impinging mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna rūpa) [arises]. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on the invisible-non-impinging aggregates and the great elements, visible-impinging kamma-produced form (kaṭattā-rūpa) [arises]. Dependent on the invisible-impinging great elements and the water element (āpo-dhātu), visible-impinging mind-originated form and kamma-produced form, [that is,] derived form (upādā-rūpa), [arise]. Dependent on the tangible-object base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) and the water element, the form base (rūpāyatana) [arises]. External … nutriment-originated … temperature-originated … For non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): dependent on the invisible-impinging great elements and the water element, visible-impinging kamma-produced form, [that is,] derived form, [arises]. By this method the seven questions should be analyzed.
