[245] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception (vitakka) and without discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition, by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought, and for a phenomenon without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought.
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), the base (vatthu) is a condition, by mutuality condition, for the aggregates (khandhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought, and for thought-conception.
