[215] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) is a condition for a phenomenon with thought-conception and with discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and for a phenomenon without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya). At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), the base (vatthu) is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) with thought-conception and with discursive thought, and for thought-conception, by way of connascence condition.
