[214] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) is a condition for a phenomenon without thought-conception and with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta) and for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya).
Discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) without thought-conception and with discursive thought only and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by connascence condition. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), discursive thought is a condition for the aggregates without thought-conception and with discursive thought only and for kamma-born forms (kaṭattā-rūpa); at the moment of rebirth-linking, the base (vatthu) is a condition for the aggregates without thought-conception and with discursive thought only and for discursive thought by connascence condition.
