[266] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) are a condition, by dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought and for a phenomenon without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta).
