[272] Phenomena (dhammā) with thought and examination (savitakka-savicāra), phenomena without thought but with examination only (avitakka-vicāramatta), and phenomena without thought and without examination (avitakka-avicāra) are a condition for a phenomenon with thought and examination … for a phenomenon without thought and without examination, by dependence condition (nissaya-paccaya).
